Italy, here we come!

When President Monson, our Prophet, announced this morning that there would be five new temples built... I was sitting on the edge of my seat. I just had this feeling that there was some exciting news about to come.

As soon as he said "Rome Italy," I actually clapped my hands once and screamed. (It was a good thing we were watching from the comfort of our home rather than in a church building!) Einstein, who was quietly sleeping next to me, jumped about a foot in the air... and Marc about had a heart attack.

After serving my mission in Italy, I have always longed for the day that a temple would be built there. There were constantly rumors going around about a temple coming to Italy... and now it is a reality.

I missed the rest of President Monson's talk... I was actually sobbing. For a brief moment I imagined being among the saints in Italy, mingling my tears of joy with theirs. Today is surely a day of great celebration for the saints in Italy.

I have always said that I would do whatever I have to to be in Italy for the dedication of their temple... I am so thrilled to be able to make plans for a trip there, especially since it means the temple will be the main celebration of our visit!

Joy. Pure joy.

I cried, too. And now I'm crying again! What a wonderful day it is! Knowing that Italy will be the home of one of our temples brings me indescribable joy.

They also announced a temple in Rob's old mission in Cordba Argentina. Robs says that we have to go there now. Who is complaining!!!

I'm so happy you are able to go on this amazing trip. I've always wanted to go to Italy. Maybe for our 10 year anniversary.
