We had Hugh's one year check-up last week, a couple of weeks after his birthday. He's weighing in at 22 pounds 13 ounces and is roughly 30 inches long, with a head circumference of 49cm. Basically he's healthy and growing strong.
As I was going through some of our recent photos, I just had to share some that display a little more of his personality that is emerging more and more everyday.
Here he was walking around with this balloon hanging out of his mouth... not sure why...
... but it apparently made him hungry for cereal.
While I was busy making dinner, I looked over to notice him pulling all of the plastic dishes out of this bottom drawer and then proceeded to climb in. I wasn't sure how he was going to get out of this position:
But, he did! And then he sat there and analyzed this sippy cup for a bit and then began bobbing up and down, apparently liking the way the drawer bounced with him. And, after a couple of minutes he just climbed right out, as if nothing was strange about the situation.
Hugh has this thing with putting things on his head. Everything can become a hat. A pot's lid:

I caught him the other day, climbing onto his car backwards. Hopefully he won't figure out how to drive it this way... I can only imagine the danger he could find that way.
Hugh is a hoot and a half - constantly making us laugh! Such a happy first year with him!
